Apparently, when I read through Alexander Solzhenitsyn's _One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich_ I marked very few passages. In fact, the only one from the text was:

> When you're cold, don't expect sympathy from someone who's warm.
> Pg. 25

The plot is not that complicated, but it's infused with humanity that's spellbinding. I am inspired by Denisovich - his ability to persevere and I find the way that he was able to find meaning and pride in his work, even in a system designed to remove that, encouraging. Imagine what he would have been able to create had he been free!
